Knowing (2009) Movie

The first reason I went to watch Knowing is that I’m crazy about Nicolas Cage, I’ve watched nearly all of his films, so there is no excuse to miss this one. Now let’s talk about it here.

First let’s learn a little more about the movie Knowing. According to Wikipedia:

Knowing is a 2009 science fiction film directed by Alex Proyas and starring Nicolas Cage. The project was originally attached to a number of directors under Columbia Pictures, but it was placed in turnaround and eventually picked up by Escape Artists. Production was financially backed by Summit Entertainment. Knowing was filmed in Melbourne, Australia, using various locations to represent the film’s settings, Boston. The film was released on March 20, 2009 in the United States and Canada.

Nicolas Cage tries to stop the end of the world in this cornball sci-fi thriller.

This is an very interesting movie, we are curious about it, we’ve been caught since the first time we saw the title. The story is very attractive.

Story: A teacher opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son’s elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions — some that have already occurred and others that are about to — that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold.

Just like someone said, “this movie is full of meaning and action! There are lots of graph/realistic scenes that will have you gripping your seat. There are times that you hold your breath because the suspense has a hold of your chest! This movie is beautiful and not a copy of any other typical movie on the same topic. Nic did great and the kids were really awesome!” Yeah, this is exactly what I feel about it. Amazing!

Cast:

Knowing,” which mixes sci-fi, horror and religious elements into an unstable stew, looks like it’s headed for a flash opening this weekend for Summit Entertainment, then a steep decline into midnight cinema and home video. One thing’s for sure, it’s not forgettable. In fact, it may take a while for Cage to live down his line: “How am I supposed to stop the end of the world?” — [Via: Hollywood Reporter]

Now let’s watch the trailer.

Knowing (2009) Movie Trailer

It’s time to take a look at what others said about this wonderful film:

i went to see this movie with my husband i thought it was brillant the effects were amazing. Nicholas Cage played his character well has the boy who played his son. A think a differant ending would have been a lot more realistic it was a bit far fetched

I just came back from the movie is wow super incredible…since I was a kid I believe that we are not alone and a super being put us here just evolve and they been watching us…I love it…just think about something is too many starts and everyone of them is a galaxy why not another worlds you don’t think God will create all this just for us…? Just think about it is too big.

Saw it tonight, this movie sucked. I think the director has some weird fetish with buring people, or animals, or planes, or buildings, or the whole freakin planet. If you want to be depressed and have a movie suggest (read rub your face in) that everything everyone has ever done or will do doesn’t matter… Well I don’t want to give away the plot to the poor souls about to suffer through this so I’ll stop there. Ugh.
