What is a good film? It is a film that we can learn something from, needless to say, The Wrestler is such a good film, no wonder it could be one of the most popular films on Amazon. So let’s discuss it here today.

According to Wikipedia:

The Wrestler is a 2008 film directed by Darren Aronofsky, written by Robert D. Siegel, and starring Mickey Rourke, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, and Ernest Miller. Production began in January 2008, and the film premiered at the 2008 Venice Film Festival in August, winning the Golden Lion Award. Fox Searchlight acquired rights to distribute the film in the U.S.; it was released in a limited capacity on December 17, 2008 and was released nationwide on January 23, 2009.

The Wrestler was released on DVD and Blu-ray disc on April 21, 2009 in the United States. It is scheduled for a UK Release date of June 1, 2009

The story is not complicated, it is simple but meaningful. This is why we say this is a good film.

Story:
Randy “The Ram” Robinson, a 1980s-era pro wrestler, has become a burnt-out shell of his former self. After he has a heart attack during a small-time match, a doctor tells him he could die if he fights again. In an effort to build a new life, Robinson takes a job at a deli, moves in with an aging stripper and tries to build a relationship with her son. But…

When watching this movie, you must use your heart to feel it, you should put yourself in the hero’s shoes so you can feel how he felt, then you will realize its meaning. I felt stronger after watching this film.
